Why I'm not a perfectionist, and why you shouldn't be either

Perfectionism is a waste of time, but more than that, it’s an excuse. The ugly side of perfectionism, that we don't often want to admit, is that we are using it as an excuse to not do the things that we want to do in life. It seems so justified doesn't it? It's the perfect crime against your dreams...

New Charity Alert!

One of the beautiful things about running your own business, is having the ability to choose who you support and where your money is going. When I started Love Coco Blossoms, it was really important to me that I donated some of my profit to incredible charities that had a truly meaningful impact on the lives of others. Australia is on fire, this is how you can help

Australia is experiencing one of the worst natural disasters to date, and there is no sign of reprieve. As someone living in Canberra, I personally am not experiencing any real threat. The smoke inhalation is terrible, but it is nothing compared to what the people in the effected areas are going through. When you are not experiencing the threat directly, it is easy to shift responsibility, or take a stance of "someone else will take care of it'. This deflection of responsibility is unfortunately common, even in situations like when a person is hurt or in need. It is quite easy to assume that someone else will step in. Imagine what it would be like to be in the shoes...

Thoughts on achieving your 2020 resolutions!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Can you believe we are in 2020? It wasn't that long ago that I thought the year 2020 sounded futuristic. Being the first of the first in a NEW DECADE, I thought I would share with you some of my thoughts on resolutions. Personally I love them, the feeling I have in a new year is fresh and expansive. I feel excited for the opportunities ahead, like I have a clean slate to create from. In saying that however, every year I set some very undefined resolutions, that never eventuate into anything. I can't tell you the number of times I have said, "this year, I am going to lose weight!" only to be the exact same...
